About Vicki Shook

My name is Vicki Shook and here is my story. I was a fashion designer by trade working in Los Angeles at the time of my accident. It was May of 2001, as I attempted to walk across the street alone to get lunch, I was struck by a minivan shattering the windshield with my head and thrown 60 feet. I suffered a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and went through three years of rehabilitation. Upon graduation from TBI rehabilitation, I began volunteering at High Hopes Head Injury Program till this day.

As someone who has suffered a Traumatic Head injury, I am conscious of giving back to help others improve their healing who have suffered the same fate.  I currently own and show my horse in Reined Cowhorse.  So, I came up with an idea to start a Cause by delegating the making and selling of horse Tail Bags that are used for show horses to protect their tails and only removed while they are in the show arena. My desire by making these tail bags is to give ALL the money made from donations/sales to the High Hopes Head Injury Program.  The goal is a minimum $10 donation, but more is always welcomed for this remarkably worthy program.
